Artwork of the Month - February & March
Commissioned from Rick Amor by the Benalla Art Gallery, this painting records the impact of the 2003 bushfires in the Northeast of Victoria. Funded from the L. H. Ledger Trust and the Friends of the Benalla Art Gallery Inc., Rick Amor and his commercial representative Niagara Galleries generously offered the full commission fee as a donation to the CFA. "It was a moving experience seeing the devastation caused by the bushfires - and by inference the struggle of the CFA to control them. I'm just glad that an artist has the chance to give something back." Rick Amor
